3C-DNS
3C-DNS is the world's highest-performance DNS server. It's the first product which we've built on top of our high-performance network stack, HPNS, which works alongside the underlying operating system's stack to provide unparalleled performance for certain applications.
3C-DNS is:
- Fast: it is capable of answering over 500,000 DNS queries per second per CPU which, in practice, will saturate a gigabit Ethernet link.
- Secure: HPNS isolates the network port used for serving DNS queries from the underlying operating system, giving protection from OS security holes.
- Reliable: Short of saturating its link to the outside world, 3C-DNS with HPNS resists DDoS attacks.
- Standard: 3C-DNS uses standard Bind zone files
3C-DNS is supplied as a 1U appliance, containing two completely separate servers, and offering up to four gigabit Ethernet ports for DNS queries and a further two ports for management. The appliance is capable of answering in excess of 1 million DNS queries per second, which is 10 times the performance of its nearest competitor. The appliance is priced at US$5,995.00, or £2,995.00.
